It's no surprise...

Federer and Safina are the top seeds.

Some tennis afficionado might disagree with me on this, but I think the men's team is more wide open than some may think.

Despite Federer earning his 16 major title, I think that the men's field will be more competitive than some may think.

I definitely think it's more wide open than the women's field because I think the women's field will be determined by one of the Williams sisters.

Venus Williams survives a tough challenge from Vera Dushevina, 6-7, 7-5, 6-3.

Venus' knee also gave her some problems tonight, and it remains to be seen how this will affect her the rest of the way.

One American wins, while another loses.

Andy Roddick loses in a 5-set thriller to fellow American John Isner, 7-6, 6-3, 3-6, 5-7, 7-6.

17-year old American Melanie Oudin took out Maria Sharapova, 3-6, 6-4, 7-5.

Serena Williams just showed people why I'm not a fan of hers in her ugly, uglly 6-4, 7-5 loss to Kim Clijsters.
