In a match that took 2 hours and 47 minutes, Li Na came back to beat Venus Williams in 3 sets, 2-6, 7-6, 7-5.

That makes 2 Chinese women reaching this far in the Australian Open ever (Zheng Jie is the other).

I'm glad Venus lost so I can stop puking.  Venus is so hideous that she's one of the few women I'd like to see covered up.  :veryfunny:

Both #1 players advanced.

On the men's side, it took Roger Federer 4 sets to beat Nikolay Davydenko, 2-6, 6-3, 6-0, 7-5.

On the women's side, it took a tremendous comeback from Serena Williams to beat Victoria Azarenka, 4-6, 7-6, 6-2. Williams was down 1 down and 4-0 in the 2nd set to storm back and win.

Serena Williams will have a chance to defend her title after getting through a touch 2-setter against Li Na, 7-6, 7-6. She'll play Justine Henin, who easily beat Zheng Jie, 6-1, 6-0.

Roger Federer will have an opportunity to win his 16th major title after he destroyed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 6-2, 6-3, 6-2, in the semifinal.

He will meet Andy Murray in the final.

In about 1 1/2 hour, Federer has a 2 sets to love lead, 6-3, 6-4.

Murray needs to start doing something to prevent this from becoming a quick championship match.

SWEET 16

It took a grueling 13-11 3rd set tiebreaker to close out Federer's 16th major title in 3 sets.

Roger Federer----------6-----6-----7
Andy Murray-----------3-----4-----6
