in the first game of the mls season and the new philadelphia union expansion team, the sounders scored early and never looked back

Sebastien Le Toux had a hat trick in this one and this was the first win in philadelphia union history... the game was played at the linc, but the new field will open up soon

I was an MLS fan for a little when Donovan was with the LA Galaxy but now that whole thing was a joke.

Frist off I had the wrong name, I meant to say Beckham not Donovan, Landon Donovan is clearly the FACE of the sport of soccer here in the US. And what I mean by a joke is that Beckham has not fulfilled his expectations, when he signed to join the MLS a couple years back. |

oh, ok... gotcha... i think the mls expected way too much of him... he isnt one of the best players in the world and never was, he was just a good player that got a lot of hype because of his great free kick ability and his good looks... so the mls was basically expecting him to revive soccer... theres some good players in the mls this year and it looks like its starting to gain some interest now across the US... guys like freddie ljungberg, sebastien le toux, jaime moreno, landon donovan r starting to take the mls to a higher level
