it looks as though it's true... henry used to be my favorite player until he left arsenal

French star Thierry Henry’s long-rumoured move to Major League Soccer looks like it’s almost complete.

The 32-year-old has signed a deal to leave Spanish giant Barcelona and play with the New York Red Bulls after the World Cup concludes in July, according to reports in the Boston Globe and SI.com on Monday.

If the move comes to fruition, the French captain will be the Red Bulls’ second designated player, along with the popular Colombian Juan Pablo Angel.

Henry will be the latest marquee name to join the MLS. He owns the all-time mark for goals for the French national team (51) and is a former World Cup and European champion, who has excelled during his club career.

another world wash out coming to further take money away from an MLS team. But professional sports is a business, so no big deal at all from that stand point.

we'll see what he has... he has more talent than david beckham had when he came over, but he hasnt played much since last year as he was stuck behind the worlds best player, lionel messi

I agree with that guys.  Grin

I like Lionel Messi a lot and I'd like to see if Thierry has what it takes to be on an MLS Team. We all know it's probably for the doe though. Wink
