Well, I'm not really too surprised here, but Robin Soderling backed up his upset of Rafael Nadal last year with another upset of #1 seed Roger Federer this year, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, 6-4.

Francesca Schiavone is pulling somewhat of a surprise by winning the first set, 6-4.

She's just outplaying Samantha Stosur right now.

Italy has a champion in the French Open for the first time in the Open Era with Schiavone's victory over Stosur, 6-4, 7-6.
