Dinara Safina and Svetlana Kuznetsova will play for the French Open title.

Safina dismantled Dominika Cibulkova, 6-3, 6-3, while it took Kusnetsova 3 sets to take out Samantha Stosur, 6-4, 6-7, 6-3.

It took 5 sets for both Robin Soderling and Roger Federer to earn spots in the men's final.

Soderling continued his amazing run by beating Fernando Gonzalez, 6-3, 7-5, 5-7, 4-6, 6-4.

Federer is one game closer to the one title that has eluded him by beating Juan Martin Del Potro, 3-6, 7-6, 2-6, 6-1, 6-4.

No Williams sisters in the final talking about how much better they are than anyone else.

Anyway, in the women's final, Safina and Kuznetsova both lost their initial serves, tied 1-1.

I think Safina just struggled mentally with so many double faults and errors as she fell in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

It seems like a tight first game by Soderling as he lost his first serve.

Soderling 0
Federer 1

Well, he's done it.

He's now tied Pete Sampras in all-time major slam wins at 14, but I think more importantly for him, he finally wins the one title he hasn't won--the French Open.

It took just 3 sets, 6-1, 7-6, 6-4, for Federer to beat Robin Soderling.
